Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The Lavender and Orange Crème Brûlée at Bella Siena is a standout dessert that feels both indulgent and thoughtfully composed. The custard is luxuriously smooth, with a delicate floral note from the lavender that never overwhelms, beautifully balanced by the bright, citrusy warmth of orange. The brûléed sugar top cracks perfectly, adding just the right amount of texture and caramelized depth. Served alongside crisp Italian cigarette cookies, the dessert gains a lovely contrast—light, buttery crunch against the silky crème. Enjoyed at Bella Siena’s waterfront setting in Benicia, whether indoors or on the outdoor patio overlooking the Carquinez Strait, it feels especially meaningful. This is proudly one of my hometowns—the place where I went to middle school and high school—and experiencing such a refined, memorable dessert here adds an extra layer of nostalgia and pride. It’s a beautiful finish to a meal and a reminder of how special this town truly is.

I had a great time at Bella Siena for my birthday dinner! Made a reservation 30 minutes in advance. Had to wait a bit for a seat in the main room but it’s understandable since it was a Friday evening. The food was pretty good, filet mignon a bit chewy/overcooked to my liking. The saffron pasta was amazing. They also threw in a free dessert. Lovely location right on the waterfront too. Street parking was easy to find and free.

Bella Siena was absolutely delightful! The ambiance is charming—right on the water, making it a perfect setting for a relaxing evening. My boyfriend and I sat outside on the patio and had a great time soaking in the views. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed some tasty drinks, and the pasta? Absolutely scrumptious! Can’t wait to come back.
