Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Maybe it was because I was really hungry. Maybe it was because I read that they made their Hollandaise from scratch on the front of the menu. I don't know. But, this was one of my favorite breakfasts in a WHILE. There was a wait, but the process was efficient (plus, when there is a wait, then you know you are in the right place). We got counter seats. I had iced tea to drink, and my wife, who never orders many juices, had an orange juice, and it was DELICIOUS and PULP-Y. I didn't catch the name of our server, but it was one of those team service places, and their team was stellar. Someone was always there when we needed them, and everything came out perfectly. The wife got the huevos rancheros, and she loved it, although the large size of the portion means she only made a dent in it. I got the Frank's sausage Benedict, and it was incredible. I ordered extra Hollandaise, partly because I always do that anyway but also because of that "made from scratch" menu thing I read. I poured it on the hashbrowns and the plate was awesome. One thing I was surprised by was the fruit, which I usually don't care as much about. It was SO fresh and delicious. If I came there just for the fruit, I would have been happy. Place was energetic. Service was efficient. Everything was clean. Food was delicious. I suggest stopping by here if hungry in the morning and liking Hollandaise and a good sausage Benny. You can order what you want though. They have a lot of other things. I highly recommend, and see you there (the next time we are in South Tahoe)...

Great little homey place. Food was delicious! Drinks too. Kids had a milkshake and hot chocolate and both had lots of whipped cream which kids loved! Customer service was very good as well. The wait was very long, approx. 50 minutes, but it was worth the wait! We got this place reccomended to us by a local and we had to try, did not disappoint for sure.

Great interior for a classic diner. Service was a bit inattentive, but it was busy on a Saturday around brunch. Okay cheese blintz order. The blueberry compote wasn't the best, probably just the frozen fruit wasn't high quality. Best way to go was order sides: hashbrown, two eggs and hollandaise sause for $10 total is a deal. The homemade hollandaise is probably good when it's fresh, but the reheat in a little dish caused mine to split and become oily and curdled rather than creamy. Bad luck for me. GREAT hashbrown. I'd come back and get country gravy on top instead. Nice people.
