Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This place is pretty awesome. The waitress was pleasant and fun to talk to the atmosphere is great Old Fashioned Restaurant styling and the food appropriately and brought out from today. And everybody has a bad day but I guess we got there on the good day because nothing that's any of the one star reviews we read recently coincided with anything we experienced. Absolutely looking forward to an opportunity to go back and have another meal and see how they do on that one. Talk to the waitress about some of the one-star reviews and she knew exactly who we were talking about from those reviews and that person is long gone

Hashbrowns were great, link sausage perfection, but all the rest was junk. Pancakes are obviously Krusteaz mix, the hot chocolate was swiss miss made with water, and the waitress asked how I liked my eggs, I said I do not want runny, I like them well done; and when they came, they were as runny as possible. I had to eat them with a spoon like they were chinese egg drop soup. The waitress was very nice and super attentive. The place does look a bit sketchy on the outside, but is a fun piece of history on the inside. I was hoping for some home cooking, things made from scratch. So that was dissapointing. Pancakes were huge, but cheap, and rubbery.

Haven't been here in many years, but once you're inside, its still that great little cafe that you always remember. Open for breakfast and lunch, I usually plan a breakfast visit. The omelets and skillets are great. So many different choices and options that everyone should have one that fits to their taste or try something new as they are very good. It's great place to begin your day and would recommend it for anyone.
