What a gem of a restaurant. A very cute find. Meenu the person who served was so nice. We tried the Laphing, Momos aand Thukpa. All traditional Nepali dishes and they were excellent. Surprisingly the fish curry was delicious. And be careful when ordering the level of spice you want. I love very spicy food but even I had to wipe my nose a few times. And the chsi is really good.Meat and poultry are halal btw.

Just ate here for the first time and I was very pleasantly surprised by the food quality and restaurant quality. The location is a little unpleasant due to being in an old industrial park but inside the restaurant is modern and clean. I had figured that there must be some Nepalese restaurants in Scranton due to the immigrant population in the area, and this place did not disappoint. I started with the samosas with potato and brown peas. They were very large as compared to samosas I had bought in gas stations and grocery stores, and the sauce they came with was very flavorful. I would probably order the vegetable samosas in the future though, because the potato filling was just OK. The chai is very spicy, (not hot, just flavorful), in a way that you would never get at a coffee shop, which I appreciate. I could tell it was homemade from scratch rather than from a powder or syrup. My entree was the Pork steam momo, which I guess must be a Nepalese comfort food because it was very delicious and very comforting. Again, the sauce it was served with was very good, but I also appreciated the delicate nature of the dough on the dumplings - not too crispy and not too soft either, just right to consume without any care. The only problem for me was that I ate too fast and burned my mouth, but perhaps that is a good thing for the restaurant, since it means the food is very good. I will note however that the place was empty when I visited, (3 pm on a Tuesday, so I don't blame them). Perhaps some light music would have been nice. Otherwise, a great discovery and addition to Scranton's culinary scene!
