I want to start off with the positive, and there are many. The building itself is gorgeous, the history behind it and it's so aesthetically pleasing inside. The entire wait staff was very attentive and very pleasant and we must have gotten the best server that they had. We had Asa, he was on top of it. Hands down five star service! The food however was okay, I was a little disappointed because this was for my husband's birthday dinner and he wanted a steak and we were given the name as a suggestion because we're not from Mount Vernon. My husband never puts anything on a steak because he says a good steak doesn't need sauce but he put salt on this steak because he said it was very bland. The Golden mashed potatoes were good, the gravy that they put on the mashed potatoes might have been a little heavy on the cognac. I myself got the Reuben sandwich, it wasn't the best Ruben I've ever had it was a little grizzly. But overall the flavor was good. Otherwise I would go back to try the handful of other things that looked wonderful. I'm just trying to give it honest review.

Bickerdyke’s is easily one of my wife’s and I’s favorite places to eat. The atmosphere is great whether you’re in the main dining room or relaxing in the tap room. They have 34 Ohio-brewed beers on tap, so there’s always something new to try, and if cocktails are more your thing, their hand crafted options won’t disappoint. I had the Urban Artifact Peristery Lemon Sour, and my wife had the Bee’s Knees cocktail, both were excellent. Everything we’ve tried from the menu has been great, but today we had the cheese curds, fish and chips, and the grilled chicken BLT, all were delicious. You really can’t go wrong with this place. They have a little bit of everything, with great food, drinks, and a vibe that’s upscale but still casual. The staff is super friendly, and the service is always timely. Highly recommend checking them out.

Bickerdykes is one of our favorites restaurants and we come here often. The service is top notch, the restaurant is clean and in an awesome location, and even the bathrooms are clean. We have yet to try something on the menu we didn’t like. Today we stopped in for a quick lunch and shared the Pepperoni Pinsa Bread appetizer. We sat at the bar in the dining room and Mary was our server. She’s one of the best servers we’ve ever had so it’s always a pleasure when she’s who is serving us. But honestly everyone here goes above and beyond. Bickerdyke’s offers several beer and cider options on tap and a unique thing is they will allow you to try a sip before you commit to a full glass. This is a great thing we have become spoiled with and recently realized that it’s certainly not something that most restaurants/bars offer. This restaurant is a great example of what a local family owned business should be. Often the owners are out delivering food to the tables and talking with their customers. If you haven’t tried Bickerdyke Table & Tap yet my husband and I strongly recommend it.
