Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Went for lunch on recommendation from a friend, and regular. He's even got his own sandwich, and that's what I tried. Essentially the Caesar chicken wrap with chipotle sauce instead of dressing, on rye, panini pressed (ask for the "John", not on the menu). Also grabbed an espresso. Total was about $15. Generous portion, very delicious. Could not recommend this spot enough.

I love the Boathouse Cafe in Passaic Park. The park is beautiful and the boathouse is cozy with great atmosphere. I love to take a walk in the park then stop in the Boathouse for refreshments. Hot chocolate, sodas, cookies, sandwiches, and other goodies on the menu. Winter, summer, fall, spring. Year round great stop to make. Love to watch the ducks on the pond. In the summer there are three large spouts on the pond. Further down the park from the boathouse is a great children's playground with summer water spouts for the children to run through.

This is an eclectic place. It is for everyone from the young to the elderly. If you want to have a spot of tea or a hot cup of coffee or an cool refreshing drink. This is the place for you. And for those who love to play games try Jenga or Uno while enjoying a hot crossiant or treat. Enjoy!
