Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I could not believe the size of the entrees. We ordered lamb curry and malai kofta, the smallest servings I have ever seen. So dissapointing. 19$ for a little more than one cup of curry. We also ordered tamarind and mint chutney for $1.73 each. So insane they even charge for that little of sauce. The garlic naan was made with garlic from a jar. It’s so apparent when a restaurant takes a lot time and effort to prepare quality food, sadly they do not. I understand a takeout dinner is much more expensive today than it used to be, but this was so far past what should be accepted.

Wow this restaurant is delicious! Best Indian food around. We had the chicken Tikka Masala and it was so tender and so flavorful. The naan bread and rice were both so soft and delicious. The service was unreal, multiple different servers checking in on us, that were genuinely so kind. We will be coming back!

Had dinner at the Bombay Kitchen with family and it was very good. Of the Indian spots I have eaten at, the flavoring on most dishes was fairly unique compared to other Indian restaurants, which was a nice change. Since this was our first time at Bombay Kitchen we tried a variety of items including: samosas, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, saag paneer, plain naan, and butter naan. Both the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken were good. The butter chicken especially was more buttery than a number of others I have had. The highlight of all the items was definitely the saag paneer. The saag paneer tasted more like what I was expecting, but done really well, being flavorful and cooked just right. Honestly, one of the better ones I've had of that dish. The samosas and naan breads were fairly good too. The staff did a great job. Maryam was our waitress. She took care of getting our order in and made sure to get us more rice or drinks when we requested them. She was friendly and attentive to our table. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and attentive. While the experience and food I had at Bombay Kitchen was very positive, I do have one criticism. The very hot spiciness level was not very hot at all. I do like spiciness and feel like they could either make the hot and very hot levels more spicy or add at least one more spice level. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the Bombay kitchen. If I am ever in Saratoga visiting, this is one spot I will definitely revisit in the future.
