Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This is actually my second time to Bonita Bowl but a different one in Lagrange and it is just as good! I wanted to see if it was a one hit wonder but it was absolutely delicious! Hubby and I shared the Ultimate Pokè bowl and the acai bowl with mango, PB, granola, blueberries and pineapple and even he was impressed with both items! Service was nice and lots of seating and cutely decorated. I hope Bonita bowl continues to keep up their yummy menu and with lots of success!

This is the third location of Bonita Bowls that I’ve been to. This is located in downtown Downers Grove. There’s a free public parking lot close by, by the train tracks. It’s actually across the street from Gia Mia. This was a small location but it wasn’t busy. The employee was very welcoming. I ordered the bluffton pitaya bowl. It had dragonfruit on the bottom. Toppings were granola, banana, blueberry, coconut flakes, and Nutella. I liked how filled up the small cup was. There was only one employee working, so some of the tables were kind of dirty.

Super nice staff, yummy bowls, and great hidden gem for doing work as they have both inside and outside seating
