Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Just ate the most delicious banana bread mini loaf that I will be thinking about for a while. Deja spoke to me about other gluten free bakes not getting their moisture content correct as I was purchasing it, and I had no idea just how right she was until I bit into it. Is this what baked goods have the potential to be??? I was so happy I came back to compliment her and she was so so nice. Deja, I will definitely be coming back for more Brown Rice baked goods when I am back in Sacramento or when your bakery comes down to the Bay Area!! Yum!

Brown rice bakery is my favorite gluten free bakery in Sacramento. It has pop up shops, items in the Sacramento natural foods coop. You can also order from their website. My favorite items are strawberry lemonade cupcakes and their take and bake biscuits.

Favs are pistachio cardamom and apple compote cakes that were around during the fall. I love how they work in community with other chefs and orgs. Heading to the co-op soon for the pride edition cupcakes.
