Excerpts

This is about food/road particles I had delivered. First of all, the food I did manage to eat was awful. Not fresh, bread was stale, oily, and poorly seasoned. Second of all I ordered gluten-free pita right off the menu. I received a regular piece of loaf bread (who knows if it was gluten free), two pieces, sliced in have like they thought I would be making an expensive PBJ. Not pita bread at all. The "regular" pita I received was dry, and tossed into a paper bag. After spending over a hundred dollars on food, I would have hoped for at least some tin foil. But I doubt this was baked there. Second, and much more importantly, I bit into the falafel, the very first bite I took from this delivery, and there was a big chunk of gravel. Yes, I heard it stop my teeth, pulled it out, and it looked just like road. Did someone drop the falafel in the parking lot and decided to get rid of it on DoorDash order? I have no idea. I just know that the spread I had ordered for my party was not something I could serve, so I had to scramble to put something else together. This is such a shame because the food used to be better, fresh, and thoughtful. I don't know what happened, but I will never order from them again.

We live on the peninsula and have been several times. We'll worth the trip! Great food, friendly staff and still our favorite place to go for Turkist food.

The restaurant is colorful, warm, and spacious. The service is attentive, quick, and helpful. Our Server was so welcoming and happy to recommend her favorites from any section. All of our needs were met and then some. She really added to the lovely experience. The kitchen is incredibly efficient. The food came out at a great pace and it tasted just as delicious as it looked. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful as well. I couldn't recommend Turko Cafe enough. They have a great variety of dishes and flavors. You can bring your meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegan friends with confidence that everyone can find a dish they'll enjoy. I haven't had a chance to truly explore Turkish cuisine and wow, I've been missing out. What a great introduction to a food full of flavors. Also, their baklava is the best I've ever had. I can wait to come back to try more
