-Update one year later- Keeping our old review for comparison sake. We honestly never planned on stopping by ever again but we were pleasantly surprised. We again had the free coupon. This time it was explained that the burrito was missing some of the extras a full priced burrito would have. We didn’t mind one bit and both ordered the sweet pork again. IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER. The salsa was about the same it still takes a little canned but there is more heat to it. The chips would be fantastic if they just had a little salt on them. We also think lime juice in the sauce if already there needs to be doubled (maybe it’s missing a pinch of sugar?) The burritos were worlds better, warm all the way through sauce fresh and runny not something that has evaporated to the plate. The gauc was not browned from sitting out and they gave us a generous amount. And it was full of flavor. Is it the best Mexican I’ve ever had? No. But it at least filled the desire for Americanized Mexican quite well. We are actually considering going back. Good job. The environment is slightly better we think music was playing and there was more art on the walls. Our server was great!! Old review: 2024 Cafè Sabor- ¿Dondé? Atmosphere was lacking with bright overhead lighting and random dispersed decorations. When we arrived we expected a much different price range based on the atmosphere alone. Chips were good but nothing special, ours tasted as if they had been under a warmer a bit too long and had become slightly stale. The Salsa tastes like canned tomato paste that has had seasonings added in an attempt to cover up the canned tomato taste. We had the burrito supreme and were sad at the lack of flavor it held, the chicken in it was dry and the sauce seemed to have dried up and crusted to the plate so we were unable to even really use it. Additionally even though the plate was extremely hot the food was mildly warm and in the middle cold so it seemed like it has been reheated hastily. It seems like people love the tacos so if we go back we will have to try those. Service was good.
