Cafe Sunflower has earned a reputation for serving fantastic plant-based dishes. Reviewers consistently praise the soy steak, often paired with asparagus, smashed potatoes, and mushrooms in a rich gravy. The Nourishing Bowl, a hearty salad featuring organic quinoa, massaged kale, roasted Brussels sprouts, chickpeas, and a tangy miso sesame dressing, has also received high praise for its well-balanced flavors and generous serving size. When planning a visit, be aware that Cafe Sunflower can be quite busy, and reviewers have noted wait times for seating and service. Reservations may be a good idea, especially for larger groups. Parking can also be a challenge, so plan accordingly. Hours of operation seem to be standard, but it's always a good idea to check ahead of time to confirm.

Excerpts

It has been years since I last visited Cafe Sunflower. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed the soy steak with asparagus, smashed potatoes, mushrooms and gravy. My sister enjoyed the mango shrimp with sweet peppers abs rice. Our waiter, server was wonderful and made us feel welcome and recommended the special of the evening which was the soy steak. I also ordered spring rolls which were also delicious. I will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to anyone that is vegan, or vegetarian. There are numerous options available.

Popped in for a quick lunch and tried the Nourishing Bowl (organic quinoa, massaged kale, roasted brussel sprouts, chickpea, almonds, tomato, miso sesame dressing, topped with avocado) This is an amazing salad and is a huge serving. I could only eat about 1/2 and took the rest home. It is the perfect salad, well balanced, not overly dressed or salted and is one of their signature dishes. Chocolate Ganache cake (vegan/GF) is super rich, almost fudgy, but creamy. crust is crushed walnuts, I think, and is cinnamony. Great restaurant, tons of seating and easy parking. Lighting is soft and easy, music playing was a lite jazz trio. Hostess & wait staff all were excellent. Nice to go section of cakes & desserts.
