Finally got to visit this amazing Black-owned establishment over the holiday. Food was amazing - presentation, taste and temperature; I tried catfish and grits. Owner, Kaja, was present to greet guests and ensure staff and guests felt equally supported. Busy night with a large party that required extra attention separate from our small group but still we felt prioritized. Definitely returning on a future visit.

Everything was awesome! Great service, best Red beans and rice that I've had in a while. Definitely try the corn bread! Adding an edit to say that I had the leftovers this afternoon and they were amazing! It's hard to find a restaurant in my opinion, where the food tastes amazing the next day. The catfish! Fried fish never tastes good the next day unless it's made at home and y'all knocked it out the park! I will definitely be back and can't wait to try other things on the menu. I'd come back just for the red beans and rice with cornbread:) The okra was so good! I haven't had that in so long! I'm trying the greens next time. I had a hard time ordering for my first time, Cajun is one of my favorites! Also had two of the mixed drinks! Very tasty and packed the perfect punch without tasting boozy. I'm excited to try the slushy ones this summer! Muskegon definitely needed this restaurant because we were lacking.
