Not a slice of New Orleans, but the only, and thus the best, shrimp and sausage gritz found in the UCSB area. Overall, a solid diner experience. The place is a bit old, but is clean. Menu has gluten-free options, if that is important to you. We'll be back.

Why be stingy on a simple breakfast item like French toast. This was one of the most dry French toast I’ve had. They likely only brushed the egg wash on so I was basically having brioche toast with powdered sugar.

Good food, not so great coffee. It's very much a diner. I didn't find the seating comfortable, it's very crowded. Clearly a popular place. We enjoyed the food. Parking was chaotic.
