This is our favorite coffee shop to visit in AZ, without a doubt. Lars and the entire staff are so kind, know just about everyone who walks through the door by name (and order!), and take pride in their high quality coffee and food. Matcha is delicious, too! They have gluten-free options and some of the best muffins you'll ever try. Carefree Coffee roasts their own coffee beans and uses ingredients from local shops. My husband's favorite thing to get is the "Jam Burrito," which is a unique breakfast burrito that you won't find anywhere else, and it is served with a fresh salsa. I try to get something new every time, but my recent favorites are the chicken salad, egg and cheese breakfast burrito, and their daily quiche. Looking forward to coming back and sitting on the patio! Such a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

The fresh made pastries are to die for, and the coffee is top tier. The service is always quick and friendly, and the patio is always lively and inviting. I highly recommend the trip up to cave creek/carefree whenever you get the chance, a visit here is a must!

I enjoyed an afternoon at the Roastery with a blueberry matcha latte and a cup of chicken salad. Both were delicious! Service was efficient and the baristas as well as cook were very kind. I sat on the patio and had a video conference while I was there and found it to be the perfect spot to unwind and get that done. I highly recommend visiting the Roastery!
