Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The first time I’d gone here, I was initially happy to find good jerk without me having to go to the city. I’d come back 2 more times that first week. Food is amazing. I’ve have the jerk chicken, catfish and today I’m trying the escovitch snapper. This place doesn’t miss. The only time I was disappointed was when there were no more plantains. Then I discovered the garlic potatoes and I always get them as an extra side. Please go it’s so good!

Food is delicious. Filled with flavor! Catfish has so much flavor. I also loved the corn. Portions are filling. Staff is great

I absolutely love Caribbean Kitchen in Lansing! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Every time I order, I feel like I’m getting a home-cooked meal. The portions are generous, the jerk chicken is seasoned perfectly, and the oxtails are some of the best I’ve had. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. This has become one of my go-to spots whenever I’m craving real, authentic Caribbean food. Highly recommend!
