Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Stopping halfway between Florida and Illinois on our drive home. We checked into our hotel and looked up “good food near me”. This place came up so we’ve thought Why Not? It’s so great!! Victoria was our server and she was helpful in suggesting good menu ideas. Our margaritas were fantastic. Go here!!!!

We have been here a few times. The food is amazing every time!! Melany was our server the first few times and now a manager. Her service top tier and definitely shows through other servers. Food is definitely flavorful. The drinks omg I got two!!!! Like literally out go to spot. Can’t wait to try their Valentine’s drinks!

TL;DR: 10/10 Go there & have a mind blowing meal. Get the Quesabirria Tacos Talk about a hidden gem. From the outside, it looks kinda sus, especially because of the highly questionable “corner store” next to it. On the inside, though, it’s lovely! It’s got a modern & clean aesthetic with warm terracotta colors throughout, gorgeous marbled table tops, & cream leather booths. Their menu has a diverse offering, without having a million “combinations” like most Mexican restaurants; it’s just a standard two sided menu. They also have a full bar with a well thought out drink menu. Additionally, like most restaurants, they do offer weekly specials, such as Taco Tuesdays. The prices on the menu were reasonable, appearing to be on par or maybe just a tick higher than your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurants, but any elevation in price is quickly realized to be worth it once you try the food. Ay dios mío! Every single thing I have had there is phenomenal. I would highly recommend getting their “Quesabirria Tacos”. They are the absolute best tacos I have ever had, & I have had a lot of tacos. If tacos aren’t your thing, their Enchiladas Oaxaqueñas, covered in their house-made mole sauce, are also exceptional. Maybe you’re more into empanadas… well their empanadas are also made fresh, & they will, like the other items I mentioned, make you want to slap your grandma. On our first visit to this business, it was a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed with a very large 20+ person party occupying the bulk of the dining area, but luckily for us, we were still seated within 2 minutes of walking in the door. That night they also had open a side room that had salsa dancing & games. On our second visit, it was a Tuesday night, & the restaurant was still busy, but not overwhelmed. We were seated immediately & served quickly. All of my interactions with the staff & owner (he served us the first night) have been a pleasant experience. Overall, this place being so close to my home means I’m definitely going to have to start working out even harder, so I can keep eating here regularly. Also, sorry about the photo; we were so excited about the food that we started eating & then I remembered I should take a picture.
