Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We were in Starkville for the Aggie vs MSU volleyball game. We like to drive to MSU for football and volleyball games. For this visit, we ate at this great restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Bob had the sirloin steak with baked squash and wedge salad, and I had the chipotle glazed salmon with glazed Brussels sprouts & rice and house salad. We split the Butterfinger and Oreo ice cream pie. 😋👍🏻♥️

When I was in college at MSU, the Grill was located in the Cotton District in walking distance to my apartment. 20 years later, we visited the Grill in its current spot with our son who is a freshman at MSU. We enjoyed the Spring Roll and Steak Skewer appetizers. The Spring Rolls haven’t changed. They’re so so good. On our table was a Brunch Burger, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, the Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Shrimp Tacos. We enjoyed the food, the service, and the visit.

Central Station Grill harkens back to the days of The Grill when it was located in the Cotton District for all of the good reasons and none of the bad… A huge, spacious restaurant with a great bar area. An ample menu of starters, salads, burgers, entrees and more. Daily lunch specials and a great drink menu. The cheese sticks are good and semi-famous. The steak skewers are great and “harken” back to the original grill. Today’s special was beef stroganoff and it received no complaints. The shrimp tacos are good. The salmon was cooked just right. Burgers are great! Crispy fries. White BBQ chicken nachos are a treat. Good service. Friendly atmosphere. Can easily recommend this restaurant and will return.
