Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We had heard about this place for its reputation with North Indian chaat and thali dishes, so a group of five of us decided to visit after quite some time. Unfortunately, the overall food experience was disappointing. One of the first issues happened when we ordered Manchurian with gravy. The staff did not inform us that they were out of the gravy version and instead served us dry Manchurian without mentioning the change. We had to clarify it ourselves and ended up returning the dish and ordering something else, which was quite odd. I also tried their Holi special thali, which included two vegetable curries, roti, dal, salad, chaat on the side, and soup. The soup and chaat were just average, and the vegetable curries were not served hot, which made them feel like they had been sitting for a while. Other dishes did not fare much better. The dabeli was mediocre, and the paneer tikka with naan was underwhelming. The paneer tikka in particular had a sour taste that felt off. The same sour flavor also showed up in the soya chaap dish, which made it hard to enjoy. Overall, the food quality felt subpar across most of the dishes we tried. Based on this visit, I would likely explore other Indian options in the area next time.

Chaat Bhavan never disappoints - same taste and consistency that we've loved for over a decade. Had tried everything on the menu, was getting bored... but looks like they're still leveling up with new options. Monthly specials are great - would love to see more pics of those dishes to make us even more stoked!

Good place.. VFM. Not all, but most of the dishes were tasty! Also note about monthly specials - Specials won’t be updated/available on the 1st day of the month; but roughly after a week. Ex - March specials won’t be available on 1st day of March, but after a week of month start.
