Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I’ve been wanting to try Chalo so we stopped for take out and it was really good and high quality! It was quite flavorful! One dish was a bit too spicy even though the description didn’t mention heat/spicy but it was still good! We will be coming back!

We've ordered twice from here. The first order included Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately, I had never tasted Indian food that was so bland. It literally had no flavor. Today, thinking that it was a mistake the last time, we ordered again. The Chana Masala was the same. It was almost like it was made for someone that needed to eat an extremely low sodium diet in a hospital environment. Indian food can have spices without the food being hot. Their "sauced" food is terrible for reasons that I don't understand. The Chicken Biryani, however, was good. The chicken was spicy and the rice had some flavor. Unfortunately, this limits the options from this place.

Butter chicken and saag chicken were our favorites. Lamb was tender, and kadai chicken had more spice flavor. Butter chicken and saag were probably most creamy of the dishes. All dishes have a kick to them, so I don't suggest if you're not into spicy food. Naan is great! Good flavor and soft texture. Even their steamed rice was good and pairs well with the entrees. The flavored rice was delicious. Hard to explain but very good. The chicken samosa is like an indian egg roll. Flaky outside and soft paste inside. Def a must try spot!
