Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

What a gem of a cafe. The food was outstanding, only matched by the service. The Elvis Breakfast was delicious. The Fried Catfish special was just what my mom was craving. She kept raving about it. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was good, but it needed some ranch. However, I was too hungry to ask. Loved how the tables are spaced apart so you don't feel like you're too close to strangers. The staff was friendly and honest! With that said, my mom forgot something in the ladies' room. The next day she called and they had found it and it was waiting for us. That alone makes us want to come back here. Thanks again!!!!

Stopped for a quick bite for the very first time. Got a breakfast plate called "Elvis ...something" I forgot the exact name and some coffee recommended by Iza, the cashier (her favorite go to coffee). Was not disappointed. Food came out quick and it was delicious and so was the coffee. This was also my first time trying out grits, and although I was not a fan of them I still ate them cause they're not bad, but that's just me and my taste buds.. Total came out to about $17 with the coffee. There was outdoor dining available but because it was drizzling, no one was outside. Both staff members I interacted with were very friendly, I felt welcome here. They do require masks to go in to the building. And also the place was really clean overall, so were the restrooms.

Had a delightful lunch at Chateau Cafe in Kenner. We started with 2 coffees: 1) Black Coffee (Me) 2) Hot Mocha (Wife) For lunch I had: Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich on French Bread with a cup of broccoli cheese soup. My wife had: Strawberry/Pecan Waffles With Sunnyside eggs and country ham. Everything was delicious and the staff was very nice with smiles. Thanks for a great lunch Chateau Cafe The Giaccones
