The food ranges from absolutely delicious to works of art. Cannot say enough good things about this menu. Appetizers, soups, dumplings, wraps, deserts and the home made cherry drink are all done with care and attention to detail. The eating space is a little crammed and the chairs are too big to fit under the tables which is a quirk. The service is incredibly kind and helpful. Only knock is it’s a bit slow because they generally only have 2 people doing everything. Definitely recommend this as a top place to eat in the city. Just come in ready to take your time and enjoy.

We had an amazing experience at Chaykhana! Every employee was extremely kind, friendly and helpful, and it was clear they wanted to give us a great experience. To start, we orderered the Kazakh Baursak, which seemed to essentially be small unsweetened donuts with a side of cream to pour over them, and they were amazing. This was VERY affordable and could have satisfied 4 or more people in my opinion. We also got a chicken samsa to split and it was delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Plov, which is a famous national dish, and the Lagman, which is a beef and pepper noodle soup. Both were excellent with great flavor and cooked perfectly. I am not from Pittsburgh, but when I’m back, I absolutely will return. Please check them out and support a unique local business!

Very good food for decent price. Tried the beef samsa, beet hummus, uzbek plov, creamy lamb, and dolma. You can get the taste of cumin, but not in a disturbing way. It also seemed very busy, perhaps over 20 different parties plus pickup orders over 1.5 hours. Would visit again and recommend it.
