Absolutely horrible experience. Not even worth a second chance. Went in at 5pm when it was the quietest Ive ever seen it and seated on one side of restaurant so bare we were the only table. We had hoped this would mean we would not have to compete for drinks and have the most unrushed food. Not the case. First clue should have been when drinks were stalled because the bartender wasnt set up yet...not sure why there was no shift transition but maybe that's a management issue. Once we did order we had hoped food would be fresh and arrive timely. Also not the case, our server apologized twice that it was taking so long noting that two of the entrees were done but they were working on others. When food arrived my medium rare burger was well done and cold which I allowed to pass, but my son was not happy with the cold half breaded fish that was supposed to be beer battered. What transpired was actually surreal. The server took the fish saying he would have them cook more, soon after a woman came back to the table with a number of breaded fish pieces. She did not tell us who she was....maybe a manager but I have no idea since she never identified herself. She then went on to try to gaslight us that this was beer battered fish, but they put it in flour and then put it in flour again before they fry it. Where are my chefs? Folks that is breading not battering. Batter is a liquid process and breading is a dry whether flour, cornmeal, panko (with wet components only to make the dry stick). The fish literally looked like chicken tenders because it was that kind of breading. It is 100 percent disingenuous to advertise battered fish when it is breaded and I'm sorry if you think it's no big deal because they are absolutely completely different culinary experiences. It's basic concepts are easy enough to verify and very basic in cooking. The fact that it is not good advertising on the menu and misleading should be accepted by management at this point but it is even worse to then gaslight the customer that their breading process is somehow batter. I can't imagine we have been the only people ever disappointed to order battered fish and find it covered in a craggy crusty breading, but hopefully we are the only ones some unidentified employee tried to convince they just didnt know what they were talking about. Never Cheddars and never again. Im sure there are good people that work there and we had no problem with our server (the one star is for the unidentified gaslighter not the server)...but that's not the kind of customer interaction I wish to repeat anytime soon.

Dependably good comfort food. This is a great place to come and warm up on a cold evening. The chicken pot pie, Alfredo, or ribs are my go to. You can’t beat sitting at the bar and watching the fish tank. The bartender, Aimee, is awesome!

Wow first time here and I'm impressed with this place. Staff were wonderful. The first (free!?) round butter croissant was great 😋. My chicken tenders were hot, crispy and not at all greasy. Fries were alright, but I'm glad they subbed a side cesar salad for me just for $1 extra. Everything tasted fresh. Will be back again!!
