Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Everything tasted incredibly fresh! The bulgogi bowls were packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, tender, and paired with fresh veggies and rice that tied everything together beautifully. The ahi tuna poke bowl was just as impressive. The tuna tasted vibrant, with toppings that complemented it without overpowering the fish. It was light, refreshing, and so satisfying. Portion sizes were generous, the service was friendly, and the patio was perfect for our dogs. We left full and happy. Highly recommend!

Love this spot! Best food in Pismo. The ingredients are sooooo fresh and delicious — love the poke! We were regulars in Morro Bay and were so excited to see they opened this new location. The owner, Katie, is really nice and runs these two places so clean and welcoming and tasty. Highly recommend.

Fresh, healthy, and delicious! I’ve eaten here at Chowa bowl a few times and always order the okie-poke bowl. Last time a went I added a boost protein with chicken skewers. They were grilled and delicious. This place is one of the few “non-fried food” restaurants within walking distance of the Pismo Beach pier. The counter service is fast and friendly. I often take my order to go and walk down the block to a table or bench near ocean for good food with a view. They do have ample parking. It’s kitty corner to the bowling alley in Pismo Beach. If you’re looking for a decent healthy option in the area Chowa bowl could be right for you.
