Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

As my friend and I got out the car, my friend had his nose up in the air trying to smell the aromatic indian spices. He said aaaah this is going to be good. Let the taste decide, I replied. A warm greeting with a smile led us to a table and asked if it was acceptable. She alread had 2 bottled water and asked if we wished any other beverages. She brought us drinks and menu ans answered ant questions we had. My friend ordered a chicken Tikka masala, samosas, I ordered goat curry, and ask how was the Biryani. She replied very good, and you can have chicken, goat, or lamb. I told her that my friend only likes Lamb Biryani from a restaurant in North Carolina. He refuse to eat Biryani from elsewhere. I also ordered the Biryani and few Garlic Naans. She then asked spice flavor we both said Hot. He could tell from the taste of his Mango Lassi that it was going to be tasty food. Well when the food arrived the aroma filled our nostrils and our taste buds started to dance. As we tasted the food, there was a moment of silence for dancing taste buds and from both of our mouths came out 1 word. "WOW" The flavor, the hotness was a perfect blend. Then she brought out the mountain of Biryani. I was in awe. The authenticity of the dishes was just perfect for Indian (me). Just 👌 I hope that the style and the authenticity of your cuisine never changes. I'll be there everytime I am in to check up! Thank you so much for your Cooking.

Took myself out for an early birthday lunch and was not disappointed! I ordered the shrimp vindaloo with rice and a side of bullet naan. For a drink I had a mango lasso. Everything was delicious, served hot and spicy 🔥! Wonderful meal, excellent service, lovely restaurant. Highly recommend!

I recently tried the paneer biryani from Red Tomatoes, and it was absolutely outstanding. From the first bite, it was clear that this dish was prepared with care and authenticity. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The paneer was soft, fresh, and generously portioned, absorbing the flavors of the masala without losing its texture. What truly stood out was the balance of spices. Flavorful and aromatic without being overpowering. The onions, herbs, and subtle ghee notes brought everything together into a well-layered, satisfying meal. As a vegetarian, it’s rare to find a paneer biryani that truly rivals non-veg versions, but this one absolutely does. If you’re looking for authentic, hearty, and soul-satisfying biryani in Illinois, this paneer biryani is a must-try. Highly recommended!
