Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

What a great find while in Asheboro. Our server, Rogue, was incredible. She was personable and on top of everything. She made our experience perfect. Can we please talk about how amazing the sweet potato casserole was? I should’ve ordered more for the road trip because it was 10/10! 👨‍🍳 😘 💋 When you think of a restaurant in the heart of the south, this is the place to be!

On a road trip from SC to VA I wanted something other than the regular chain restaurant food. Searched & searched. Found this as I call them...a "hole in the wall". Sooo glad I did. Best late lunch/ early dinner I have had in quite awhile. The cook is very talented because beef liver is a dish that's hard to get just right. But this was DELICIOUS. Sweet potato casserole was just as excellent along with the coleslaw. The only thing I could have had different was the onions. They needed just a bit of caramelization. But with that being said the place was super busy. So I ate them with the perfect liver and was thankful I found such a gem.

Great little country restaurant in the middle of Asheboro. All the southern comfort food you'd expect to see. The staff was all super nice, always were checking to see if I needed anything else. Food was very good. The building isn't much to look at, but hey you get over it.
