The atmosphere was quaint which is code(x) for tight, but it was very cute. We did not have a reservation but they accommodated us with bar seating. The bartender made 0 eye contact with me but insisted on making contant goo goo eyes at my partner as if I didnt exist. It was my birthday. I felt very unseen . Even when she checked back to see if the food was okay- only asked my partner. Yikes. Wasnt sure if it was just an attraction thing or a race thing but again since it was an intimate birthday dinner celebrating me, I couldnt help but notice the lack of attentiveness. Food was delicious. We had a couple of appetizers. The Brussel Sprouts are AMAZING. 10/10 recommend anyone trying them out.

The service was excellent, but the food wasn't great (although it looked great). I ordered the Bread & Butter, the Oyster Mushrooms, and the Burger. The Bread and Butter was delicious. However, the oyster mushrooms tasted fishy which was off putting. I had high hopes for the Burger after reading other reviews online but it was underwhelming to say the least. The meat was not good and tasted overworked. What's really annoying is they add a 20% gratuity to the bill without saying anything, and I didn't notice until wrote in the tip for 20% and noticed the text at the bottom. So I ended up tipping 40% instead of my usual 20% which I do even if the food is bad. The service was really good so I just let it be but that's so unheard of, especially for one person. I get adding a fixed gratuity on a check for 5+ people but that's the only time it makes sense. It's also worth mentioning that the restaurant is just generally uncomfortable. The seats are wood and it's all one room so it's loud. Overall it wasn't a good experience.

My wife and I went here first time this past Friday evening. Small, intimate place. Service was top notch. Drinks and beer was excellent. The food? I cannot stop talking about how good it was. I had the Pork Shoulder. My wife had the Burger. The appetizer was Pimento with everything crackers. Like massive tortilla chips baked. Mmm. There was definitely a chef in the kitchen.
