We went to Comune for the first time last night and would give it a solid 4.5 across the board. If I were vegetarian, I’d probably really love this place. But even as a definite carnivore, I found the food to be outstanding. The roasted carrots were spectacular. The grilled trumpet mushrooms was my favorite dish of the night. I found the crispy rice to be very interesting mix of textures and flavors. The charred caesar was a little disappointing for me probably because I’ve had really good charred caesars and so maybe my expectation was too high. My son and I had just flown in early in the morning so didn’t want to drink too much so didn’t try any of the cocktails though they sounded good. I love that the wine list comprises of predominantly natural wines though the list doesn’t have any of my favorites. I thought it was nice there was a nice red with a little age (2018) by the glass which I had. Overall great restaurant, very good service, beautiful space and I look forward to a return visit.

Comune is a restaurant that offers a noteworthy experience. I called in for a reservation for two, and the host promptly assisted us. Despite the challenges of parking in the area, we managed to find a spot. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a kind host who escorted us to our table. The restaurant's interior design was aesthetically pleasing, and the lighting created a pleasant ambiance. We discovered that Comune is a vegan establishment, which was an unexpected surprise as we had not previously dined at one. Brad was our server and great, he was able to help us choose our best options. Our appetizers were okay; the beet tartare offered a unique flavor profile, and while the bread was excellent, the accompanying sauces could benefit from refinement. The mushroom bolognese, however, was somewhat lacking in flavor. Concluding our meal, the coconut dessert was a refreshing and amazing choice. Overall, the restaurant provided a commendable experience, and while the cuisine was acceptable, we know that we may not represent the primary target demographic. All-in-all the bill was $135 before tip, and was worth the experience.

We got the roasted carrots, bread + spread, black garlic cacio e pepe, walnut-maitake mushroom bolognese, and the avocado chocolate cake for dessert. Dessert was my favorite part. I’d be interested to come back again when menu items are changed. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the service was great.
