Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Food has been excellent, BLT, Cuban. Burger have been delicious. Been here twice and the last time our server disappeared, we had to ask for the check from another server.

I visited this restaurant on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 and brought a girl there for a first date. I want to start by saying this isn’t my first time here. I’ve been here before several times, I enjoy coming here, and I generally tip generously because the service is usually good and everything runs smoothly. Unfortunately, this particular experience was very different. When we sat down, the waitress asked if we wanted to hear the specials. I said yes and she listed several items, including a steak with mozzarella cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. The meal sounded good, but I told her I would like it without mushrooms. She immediately told me the dish did not come with mushrooms, even though she had just listed them as part of the special. I told her she had just mentioned mushrooms, but she insisted she didn’t. To avoid making it a bigger issue, I simply repeated that I would like the meal without mushrooms, and she took the order. When the food came out, the steak had mushrooms all over it, which was the exact thing I had specifically asked to leave off. I called the waitress over and showed her. She then became very frantic and theatrical, saying she didn’t know why the cooks would put mushrooms on it. She walked to the kitchen and began loudly questioning multiple cooks and other waitresses about it. The conversation was loud enough that I could clearly hear it from my table, which made the situation uncomfortable and felt very unprofessional, especially considering this was happening in the middle of the dining area. This was frustrating because she had just argued with me earlier about whether mushrooms were even part of the dish. She later came back and said she had called the owner and the solution offered was to remove one drink from the bill. Considering the steak itself was $56 and not prepared the way it was ordered, that didn’t seem like an appropriate way to resolve the issue. For context, our bill for an appetizer, two meals, and one drink came out to around $150, so the overall experience did not match the level of service you would expect at that price point. Again, I want to be clear that my past experiences here have generally been good, which is why this was so disappointing. In my opinion, this situation was more about poor service from the waitress than the restaurant itself. I just hope management addresses it so other customers don’t have a similar experience.

Good atmosphere, rustic charm, polite service. The steak and white cheddar ciabatta and Copperbarn omelette were good. The fish tacos weren’t as good as I remembered, but overall: solid food, enjoyable vibes. Sources
