NSB is a Vibe! We had the pleasure of catering an event in New Smyrna at The Grey Room over the weekend, and once we wrapped up, we decided to take a stroll down Canal Street. It was the perfect night ,an old-time car festival was happening, and New Smyrna Beach Brewery was celebrating 12 years, so the energy downtown was fantastic. After that, we wandered down to New Smyrna Beach Brewing Company to enjoy some live music before ending up at CorkScrew Bar & Grille I had never been to The Corkscrew before , I was impressed from the moment we walked in. The hostess greeted us warmly, and we chose to sit at the bar, which is something we almost always do when it’s just the two of us. We tend to get better service, and we love the vibe. Our bartender, Jace, had a smile on his face the entire time. He was incredibly busy, but I loved watching him work his craft. The bar itself is large and well run there was another bartender on the opposite end, two bar backs constantly moving, and someone regularly collecting glasses. Every single person working had a smile on their face. I even overheard one of the dishwashers ask a bar back how his day was going he replied that he was having an incredible day, smiling from ear to ear. You don’t see that very often. It was refreshing and honestly inspiring to see a staff that genuinely enjoys working together. Every person we encountered was personable, friendly, and excited to be there ,and that alone set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Food-wise… wow. I started with the fresh guacamole, which was absolutely delicious and perfectly curated. I really wanted the fried chicken and collard greens, but that’s not on my diet unfortunately (lol), so I opted for two filet skewers with a side of asparagus, served with a delicious homemade mojo & horseradish sauce. My husband went with the bang bang shrimp and pretzel bites, and he was very happy with his decision. The atmosphere is eclectic ,a little tropical, a little Cuban flair, mixed with quirky magic. Check out the chandeliers and all the cool pieces hanging throughout the space. The bar feels like a grotto, inside and out, and I truly can’t wait to go back. New Smyrna, you did not disappoint. We will be back.

We had an amazing (birthday) dinner night at the Corkscrew on Februari 17 2026. Sitting at the bar having very good margaritas and amazing appetizers and entrees! The staff is super friendly and helpful, not pushing at all. Highly recommended place when you are staying in New Smyrna Beach!

Great place to relax and enjoy company. I was able to bring my chihuahua with me and she enjoyed the chicken and steak we had for appetizers. We LOVED THE RED SANGRIA. Delicious!!! French dip sandwich was exceptional as well and fair priced. Shared a brownie sundae (it was just as it sounds) View was cute, well lit with soft lighting.... just a nice patio. Service was on point. Took pics of inside so here is some attached.... I would sooo stop in here again. Also patio music was county, I vibe with that. Nice time with my best friend and our pup.
