Council Oak Steaks and Seafood

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and I enjoyed my experience. They have good food and their prizes are reasonable. I was there for my birthday, took hubby there for our anniversary and was there before then. I always loved my experiences, the waitress and server are so nice. On February 13 we went there for dinner and I experience a very terrible experience. The food mac and cheese I ordered felt like it was shocked in water and milk it was not creamy atall. The creamy spinach was not creamy. Everything felt like it was done in a hurry. I was very shocked! The moment I left the restaurant i went to the barthroom all night with diarrhea , my husband woke up to tell me something, he had diarrhea all night. I I have no idea on Friday February 13th, who cooked our food , what ingredients was used , but it was a horrible experience. We waisted 219 dollars to get sick all night We kept blaming ourselves, but we have been there multiple times before and the food was very good. What happened this time we dont know. It was sad and dissapointing This is not putting the restaurant down, this is not bashing it, this is creating awareness that arround holiday or special days they need more hands on deck. It was never like this the two time we have been there which is why we went again.

Excellent dining experience from the fine food to the courtesy service. First time visitor but will be sure to return. Everything was delicious. Excited to have a finer dinning option and experience in my old hometown. Easily one of the finest prepared branzinos I've ever had.

Council oak is the literal best restaurant in Northwest Indiana. All the steaks are cooked with precision and all the non steak items are all great ways to mix it up if you just don’t want steak. The seafood is always fresh and the salads are cool spins on classic recipes! I eat food here frequently and love everything I taste. The sides are all excellent. They just added a sweet potato mash in time for fall and it the best I have ever had. The service Matches the food the servers there are some of the most professional and talented. You feel like you are at a fine dining restaurant in downtown when you are there. If you haven’t tried this place I highly recommend!!!
