Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! These dumplings are hand made, on the spot .. NOT pre-made. You can even watch them make your dumplings! The portions were good, and you just can't beat fresh made dumplings. There are a variety of flavors to choose from, and you can have pan seared or boiled, whichever you prefer. One order is 15 dumplings, with a side. You have the option to add 6 more dumplings to any order for $5.00 extra. This was our first time here, so we ordered 1 order of beef & onion, and 1 order of the shrimp, pork, & Chinese chives. I really liked them both, but I would say that the beef & onion definitely had more overall flavor. Either way, we WILL be back to try all of the flavors!!!!

We decided to try this place because we wanted something different. One thing I really liked was, I can watch the cooks / chef's make my food. They make it fresh and the woman working on mine was the mother of the woman who was working the register. I got the beef and onion, she got shrimp, pork and Chinese chives. I also got the beet salad and broccoli as a side, while she only had the broccoli. She wanted her side steamed a little longer...which they were able to do and did without hesitation! The service was pretty good. They were very and open to chatting up new customers. I would say the price was very reasonable. It was barely $40 for the two of us WITH a fountain drink for each of us. When the food came out, it was VERY VERY HOT!!! I would recommend letting one or two dumplings sit on the side to cool, or you might burn your mouth. I really enjoyed the beet salad, but I absolutely LOVE beets. The only side that is served hot is the broccoli. The Cole Slaw, Beet Salad and a slivered Potato Salad are all served cold. The portions are a pretty decent size. I can definitely eat, so if you have a big stomach, try one order first and go back for seconds if need be. My only gripe would be, I would like a ginger, yum yum or teriyaki sesame and/or peanut sauce. They do have Soy Sauce and a dark Vinegar Sauce...but thats all (for now). The place is kind of cute. There is definitely an asian flair, but it is a clean look. I really liked the Beef and Onion dumpling, but didn't much care for the Shrimp, Pork and Chinese Chives. It wasn't that it was bad, I just thought the flavors weren't as bold as the onion and beef. I would like to try the other flavors and the potato salad as well, but that will have to be on another visit. . ..and YES, we will be back!

The dumplings are AMAZING! I’ve wanted to try this place for a while, but have a highly skeptical Korean husband who has been disappointed many times by dumplings (mandoo) in Chicago. I was using the momentum from our recent return from Italy, where we of course found Asian restaurants for lunch to balance all that lovely Italian food, and had access to an incredible Szechuan restaurant that made perfect pan fried handmade dumplings. So, I talked him into trying this place, and we are so happy we did. The shrimp, pork, and Chinese chive pan fried dumplings (gu mandoo) had perfectly crispy lattice, translucent skin/wrappers, and deliciously juicy filling. Dipped in a combo of soy sauce and chili sauce made the flavors pop. You must try them!! They came with a small side of shredded potatoes, which were even better when you added some chili sauce. We will definitely be back. Best dumplings/mandoo we have found in Chicago’s northern burbs.
