Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Our server, Olivia, was friendly, responsive, and always ready to help. She should be the employee of the year! The drinks were homemade, and the pineapple and cranberry juice were so good—they tasted real fruit, and there was no refill! The soup of the day was porridge, which was packed with chicken soup. I suggest using smaller grains or grinding them after cooking. They also have a monthly special menu. I had the Mediterranean sirloin and hash browns. The meal came with a side dish, and the pasta and hash browns were huge. For the price & amount of food, this restaurant is cooked, $57 is a deal-breaker. I’m from Atlanta, and I couldn’t believe it. Looks at the Butterfinger bash dessert, it was unbelievable huge and it could feed up to 4 people!! The restaurant was clean, spacious. Restroom is very clean, I think they have the employees come and check it regularly 🤣

Demos’ has a reputation that runs deep in Tennessee family-owned since 1989 and known for blending steakhouse flavor with Italian comfort classics. I started with their Jalapeño Cheeseburger Soup, and it was exactly what the name promises a creamy, hearty base reminiscent of a potato soup, only with ground beef and jalapeños adding a bold kick. Surprisingly rich and just the right amount of spice. For my main course, I went with the Hamburger Steak alongside a small portion of their Meatball Spaghetti a perfect combo that hits both sides of the menu. Nannette chose the Stuffed Chicken Baked Potato, which looked every bit as indulgent as it sounds. It’s easy to see why Demos’ is a local favorite the kind of place where you can taste the family tradition in every bite. Sometimes the best meals are found not on the itinerary, but on the roadside detours.

We stopped there after visiting Opryland. I ordered chicken fettuccini and although I didn't love it, I wasn't going to complain. The waitress was a young girl and was very perceptive. She asked if I wanted anything else and I declined. The manager came by and said they wanted total customer satisfaction so he asked what I didn't like about it and said even if I wasn't complaining, he needed to make sure it was ok so other customers wouldn't be served sub par fettuccini. He tried to replace the dinner, offered a peach cobbler, that was wonderful, and insisted on taking it off our ticket. The salad was amazing (had to be the design because there weren't a lot of extras on the salad), the appetizer with sampler sauces was really good, kids spaghetti was good as was the steak dinner. The wait to get in was minimal. Atmosphere was really nice. They were in top of the restrooms. I went there times due to having a 4 year old, and there was an employee wiping the counters, checking toilet paper and paper towels. Overall, this was a great experience due to their dedication to customer service. The prices were very reasonable also.
