Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

A relaxing location within the hotel itself. The staff was very kind and quick with service. The food tastes very good (at least the lunch menu) (its the only one I've tried) but not the best especially at this price but the convenience of location makes up for the price

My wife and I ate here for Valentine's Day our experience was unfortunately one of the most disappointing we have had. Upon arrival we checked in for our reservation and were told we would be called when our table was ready. That was perfectly reasonable given the occasion. The difficulty arose in the calling process. The hostess appeared to have trouble projecting her voice over the noise of the dining room, and after several attempts she began walking around asking guests their names individually. This created confusion and made it unclear whether we had been called or overlooked. Once seated, we received water promptly but then waited a considerable amount of time before our server returned. Our meal order was taken, but I had to specifically request that she take our drink order before she left the table. After our sodas were delivered, we did not see our server again for quite some time. Our drinks remained empty while we waited for our food, and my wife had to flag down another staff member just to ask where the restrooms were. Regarding the food, we both ordered the filet with risotto. The risotto was excellent and was the highlight of the meal. The steaks themselves were acceptable but not particularly memorable. One detail that stood out was that although we ordered identical entrées, they were served on different plates and with noticeably different portion sizes of risotto, which was unexpected. When our server eventually returned, it was with the check. We had planned to order dessert, but at that point we chose to conclude the evening and leave. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it is helpful. We understand how challenging a holiday service can be, and we appreciate the effort that goes into it. With some attention to host communication, table service follow-through, and consistency in plating, I believe the overall experience could be greatly improved. Thank you for your time, and I hope this is received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended.

We popped in at 1:14 for a late lunch and finally got the bill at 2:45. The gentleman working g seemed to be the only person manning the entire place after 2. The Reuben was good- certainly not fantastic. The shrimp was lukewarm- like it had been sitting around and not worth the $14 price tag for what we received. My son enjoyed the tenders and fries. The waiter was nice, we asked for more water and honestly could have had more - he was just too busy. We asked for the check a couple of times, but again he was just running trying to get food out. The atmosphere is nice and lively. Being there was an Ohio state game on and folks at the bar, they could have done with more employees. There are more places in Dayton that offer exceptional food for the same price, we were waiting on friends so wanted to dine close. I'll post breakfast considerations separately. All in all service was good, just not enough. Lunch food was okay, just not brought out timely. The appetizer came out lukewarm with the meals and not enough beverages.
