Sitting on the terrace by the water was really delightful! Service was prompt and attentive. Food was very good! My red snapper was cooked to perfection! Moist inside and tasty. We had also grouper, both fish with different potato style side dishes. The crusty bread with olive oil, that we started with, and the spanakopita, were all very nice. We will definitely come back again! (The catfish populating the waters close to the restaurant after dark provided us some nice entertainment, too)

This was our first time back after coming here frequently several years ago and the quality had dropped...I am very happy to say they have bounced back. We started with an appetizer of hot Dolmades that were excellent. My wife had the scallops with a side of spinach which she liked a lot. I had the Thalassina; Grilled squid, octopus, shrimp, and scallops with a side of Chickpeas in a red sauce. These was also excellent and enough to take leftovers home. I had a glass of the Moschofilero, Boutari which was nice and crisp. The only reason I am not giving the food a 5 is the complimentary bread was slightly stale which was surprising. The waiter was very prompt and kept our water and iced tea glasses refilled without asking.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Dimitri’s. My parents are visiting from Turkey and we have Greek roots, so being able to enjoy raki (ouzo) by the water meant a lot to us. The grilled red snapper was the star of the night absolutely delicious. We also tried the calamari, zucchini, fried cheese, char grilled octopus, baklava, and ekmek kadayifi. Everything, from the food to the service, was excellent. However, something disappointing happened at the end. My uncle paid the $240 bill and generously left a $60 tip. He also ordered three coffees before we left. As we were walking away and talking about how much we enjoyed the night (I was even saying I’d come back just for that red snapper), our server stopped us on the street to say they forgot to charge us for the three coffees. While I understand mistakes happen, stopping guests after they’ve left over roughly $15 felt unnecessary and embarrassing. I gave him $20 and told him not to worry about it, but the experience slightly took away from an otherwise beautiful evening. Overall, the food and atmosphere were fantastic. I just hope management considers how situations like this are handled in the future.
