Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

The biscuits and gravy.. Legendary!!! I go to various restaurants all over the country.. The best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The sausage gravy was superb. 4 tall thick biscuits, and the waitress Sherrie was fantastic. She even had a really good bear of honey for my toast. Just all around fabulous breakfast experience. I would highly recommend this to travelers in the Medford area!

I have been a sporadic customer. I may visit a dozen times in 2-3 months, then not for 6-8 months. I have pretty much enjoyed the food and have had no complaints about the service. Staff has always been pleasant and will joke about... I enjoy sassy. The restaurant is somewhat messy and cluttered. Here's my issue... the water. I don't usually drink the water in restaurants (afraid it might rust my stomach... lol... or as my Grandmother used to say "water is for washing cloths".) The one time I was thirsty for water (doesn't happen very often)... the water at Diner 62 had the foulest taste. The server stated that it was their "well water" and brought a bottle of water. I have never tasted such foul water as that "well water". Talking with the Staff, apparently this is the norm for their "well water".... and nothing could be done about it. I gave this a lot of thought. The more I thought about it, the more it concerned me. I thought, since the staff was all aware, it must be a work in progress. Just recently (about 3 months later) I called the Hwy 62 Diner and inquired if the water situation has changed. The answer was no, it was still the same "well water". There was no change, they were aware of the foul taste, it was "well water" and that was all there was to it. I asked if they use the same water to cook the food in. The answer was yes and nothing was being done to change or improve the taste or smell, that it was "well water" and that's all there was to it. I'm sorry. I just can't wrap my head around it. With the water smelling and tasting that bad... they use the same water to wash their dishes in and cook their food in... I just won't be returning for a meal as long as they are using that "well water". I lived on a farm in the Rogue River area... we had a "well". I guess we were the fortunate one to have GREAT tasting "well water".... but I wasn't running a Restaurant. I am saddened because there are few good breakfast/lunch restaurants in the Valley.
