Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I had been staying at hotel near this place and decided to try it out. This is a family owned place with food that is made with love! Wow! I was extremely surprised how savory and delicious the food was. I had everything on the menu from the curry goat to the BBQ chicken wings. The oxtails are to die for. Call ahead and make sure they have them because they sell out fast. It’s a small place. No tables but worth the trip!! Feeds the soul if you know what I mean.

This place was ran by a father and his son! They do a great job of keeping things fast and easy and had real authentic jerk food!! I enjoyed my food, you can only get yours to carry out but would go back again!

This is a carryout only establishment. The Staff was super friendly and helpful. Every family has the one person who is a terrible cook but doesn't know it Mr. or Mrs. Duckman, who's ever the cook, is that person. I've had the opportunity to have many Jamaican meals from home cooks and professionals all were better than Duckman's. I ordered food for my family; we didn't enjoy anything. I ordered Jerk Chicken dinner with cabbage and red beans and rice (rice and peas) Stewed Chicken with mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. The entrees: The spices didn't marry well. Jerk Chicken someone hasn't learned how to properly use a grill the jerk chicken was reminiscent of bad backyard barbecues with the flappy chicken skin and dry meat. Stew chicken had sauce and was moist, but it wasn't tasty it was spicy but yet lacked flavor. The sides: red beans and rice was actually what Caribbean people call rice and peas (rice usually cooked with a bit of coconut milk and dried beans are added) it didn't taste like any coconut milk was used. The cabbage wasn't bad it didn't have carrots like I've had from every other Jamaican, but no biggie. The mac and cheese was straight out of the box cheese flavor packet used but no milk to mix it topped with cheese that looked melted hours prior. The sweet potatoes were over cooked but tasted ok. I got someone's banana pudding by mistake. I do not like banana pudding at all. I hate bananas and can't stand soggy cookies, so I didn't try it. My teenage son who eats everything tried it and hated it, so he threw it away. I cannot recommend this place to anyone
