Dumpling World

Very informal , vibrant , bright environment. Full disclosure we dined in on a Friday night around 7pm and as it was our first time there with no prior experience I can only give the service 3 stars. They were very welcoming and polite it was just quite a wait once we got sat to the time we finally got drinks. The food is very well cooked , prepared , and served. Their crab puffs are in my top two locally (oddly enough their competition for best crab puffs is right next door at 888 bistro). The General Tsos was delicious and prepared differently and more spicy than I’m accustomed to but I loved it as I like spice. I’m not much of a dumpling person but the dumplings were well cooked, soft, and flavorful and my girlfriend said they’re some of the best she’s had. The fried rice is on par with the best there is locally, full of flavor and hearty. I got the strawberry refreshing tea and it was heavy on the syrup. I think next time I’d try the Thai black tea.

Food was great! One thing you should definitely know though that I wish they would be clear about is the iced tea is not regular iced tea. It's gardenia iced tea which is very different than normal iced tea. Other than that the food was delicious! Cream cheese wontons were good, but need a lot more cream cheese.The dumplings we ordered were filled with the best broth I've ever had. I went to what was considered the best place in Houston for dumplings and they were not half as good as these ones. Also, the potstickers were very delicious. The barbecue ribs did have a delicious flavor, but they were VERY tough. The bunny buns they have for dessert were flavorless, but they did look really cool. But if you don't come here for anything else you should definitely try The dumplings!

Seriously good dumplings and so many choices! Everything is handmade by these cooks. We’ve had our eye on this place for a while and finally went. We were not disappointed! The staff was so kind and everyone is your waitstaff, which we liked very much. Shout out to Kristen for leading us through our first time and answering all our questions. Last note, they have regular customers with dairy and nut allergies and are able to accommodate. We will be back for sure!!!
