We have been trying different places for our weekly date nights and when we saw Earl’s menu and pics, we decided to go last night. It was wonderful. My hubs got the Graceland, which is the bologna on Texas toast….y’all!!!, that was the thickets and best bologna he and I have ever tasted! I had the Earl burger and it was fantastic. You get plenty of food that’s for sure! Oh, one more thing….we ordered the fried pickles and they were a little too salty. Just mentioned it to the waitress but didn’t expect a comp….was fully prepared to pay for them, but because service was top notch, the waitress read her customers and delivered! Please, if you are in the Winston Salem area, this is a MUST eat place!!

Just ate here and hands down the worst service and meal I've had in a long time. Our group of 5 always meets up to eat here before we go to the theater several times a year. Got here at 12pm with people at 2 other tables. It took 1 hour to get our food, I had to go to the bar to get a drink refill because our waitress never came back to table till our food got here. And we just decided to drink water as she never came back to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Everyone's food (5 of us) came out wrong or cold. If we were not headed to see a play I would have sent my food back. I had the Yolked & Loaded, eggs were cold and they left the queso off. When they brought out my queso it was not only cold but so cold it was solidified and not liquid. Onion rings were cold on 2 others plates and they brought out the wrong side on another dish. The kicker was for a group of 5 is that we got charged gratuity automatically (which we never have before, maybe because she put in 6 people on ticket?), and there was a 4% operations fee added to all our bills. We paid in cash, one with card. After paying we asked what that fee was, and we're told it was credit card fee. I paid with a card but everyone else paid cash and her response was well I can refund that to you if you want. On one check that paid with cash not only did they not get their change back, they were charged a card fee for using cash and the waitress got more of a tip than we would have left. At this point it had been 2 hours and we had to go, so we just let it go. I get charging a card fee for using a card, but don't add it to the damn bill until you know they are paying with a card. I question how much extra money Earls or the waitresses rake in doing this unethical practice to those paying in cash. Sorry Earls but this is the 3 strikes your out for this group to eat here again. Picture attached shows how there was hardly anyone there while we were.

Eclectic bar with different cocktails you wont find in most bars. I ordered 2 the Arm chair old fashioned and porch light both were amazing. I was not very hungry so I went with the fried catfish nuggets as my meal, they were tasty but a disappointment due to the size, quarter sized I have never received such small catfish nuggets. My boyfriend got a burger he loved it, for sides we got the fried okra and onion rings. We sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back to try more drinks and other food items
