Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Found inside the shopping center, this is an amazing place!! I’ve been to Ethiopia and this food is legit. There’s great Ethiopian music, artifacts for sale, seating in the patio or in the back. Order at the front desk then sit down at a table. We got the platter for two: 4 choices atop njera. We took her advice on which to order and LOVED it. Plus the honey wine (oh, my gosh, amazing!) and the ginger beer (so fresh and clearly real ginger). We could not be happier with the entire experience. We ate with our hands (tear the njera and use it to pick up scoops of sauce, food, etc) but there were forks provided just in case. The lentils were our favorite, i loved the mushrooms, the boiled cabbage and carrots were surprisingly great , and the potatoes were very good (we were split in the potatoes). Everything is vegan and delicious.

We love Ebony! All vegan & gluten free menu. Super delicious food. Beautiful decor, very casual setting, order at the counter, can sit inside or outside on the beautiful creekside patio. Love that they're open with a full menu now and do family style plates for sharing (no more to-go contsiners). The Injera bread is light and springy and fantastic, made with teff. The standout dish for us is the spicy misir wot (red lentil dish). Other favorites are the goman (kale & onions), defen misir alicha wot (green lentils) and denech alicha wot (potatoes & carrots). Also the Ethiopian tea is a must for me, has such a delicious cardamom, ginger, clove, and cinnamon flavor. Also love that they have a water fill station with cups in-house. Overall is a bit pricey but absolutely worth it! The single order has two menu items plus a side salad for $18, the family style comes with four items plus the side salad, serves two people for $39. They also have a larger family style option for more people. Overall very filling! A must visit location, supporting a women-owned local small business ❤️
