Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Beautiful venue! Waitress was attentive. Food was overpriced for what was served. Plates were cold so our food was not as warm as we expected. Mushroom soup was absolutely delicious! I had the stuffed haddock, which was not stuffed but about 3-4 tablespoons on top of a haddock filet. Mashed potatoes had no flavor and not very warm. The vegetable was squash and that was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and had a wonderful flavor. The chicken milanese was okay, nothing special. Both our mashed potatoes could have been served warmer.

The atmosphere inside is incredible no matter where you sit. The porch offers views of the surrounding farm, the dinning room seats you next to a real wood burning fireplace. The fall pasta is my favorite on the menu right now. The Charles Dickens Christmas Dinner is much fun, though I feel like they put their heart into the meats more than the vegetable option (which is their risotto so I was disappointed when it was a bit crunchy). All in all we will definitely return when we have another special occasion to celebrate. Definitely worth the drive out from the city.

We love Elderberry Pond! The food is always fresh and beautifully prepared, with vegetables straight from their own farm. The atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and perfectly suited for a relaxed meal. A true local gem, consistently delicious and worth the visit every time.
