I've had a lot of Turkish food in my life, and as a result, I'm very picky about what constitutes a good Turkish restaurant. Please bear that in mind when I say Ephesus is the whole picture. There is a care and quality to the food, a gentle home feeling to the atmosphere and décor, and wonderful hospitality on the part of the staff. Eating here feels like being invited to a friend's family dinner. Their dolma (stuffed grape leaves) have this beautiful spice to them that I've never encountered elsewhere. The mantı (small meat dumplings in yogurt sauce) are beautiful, springy, and delicate. The kebabs are cooked perfectly and have this great flavor and texture. Even something so simple as their döner (gyro) hits the spot. My favorite, however, has to be the pide (Turkish style pizza). It's a hard thing to do well, and not every restaurant has the equipment to do it. Their pide brings me back to my childhood in Brooklyn. It's so good! Turkish food, in general, focuses heavily on fresh produce, grilled meats, and excellent quality baking. Ephesus does all of these things fantastically. If you've never had Turkish food before, this is an excellent and rewarding introduction to the cuisine. If you are a veteran, you will be delighted to find all your favorites done with care, skill, and joy. Well worth a trip.

Spoke with Durok the manager earlier in the week to get an understanding of portion size for a catering party of 11. He perfectly recommended exactly what I should order to satisfy everyone and still have enough for me to have a "nice lunch" for the next day. Ended up ordering a mixture of chicken, lamb and Kofte for the meat, babagsnoush, humos, spicy salad and katch badmajan for salads. Everything was cooked to perfection and was incredibly fresh. Couldn't have had a better experience from start to finish. Thank you to Durok and the team and Ephesus grill for a meal everyone enjoyed.
