Went for dinner recently; 4 in our party. We had a reservation but it wasnt needed since there was plenty of open tables available. Had a good selection of cocktails/mocktails, beer and wine. Went with the Honey Pear Margarita. The server didnt ask Abby anything on the rim and I didnt ask so it unfortunately came with a salted rim which seemed out of place for a pear based margarita in my opinion. For appetizers we got the Punjabi samosa and the chilly cauliflower florets. Each was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. For my entree I got the chicken tikka masala usually my absolute favorite. Here, however, it was just ok. The sauce wasnt very creamy compared to others Ive had elsewhere and the chicken wasnt the best quality. Another in our group got the biryani with a lamb shank. He said the lamb was good and very tender but the amount of rice was way too much even for a briyani. It was in essence a lamb shank sitting on top of a huge bowl of rice. The garlic naan was excellent. The restaurant has a bar and indoor seating. It was really cold inside and I ate with my coat on. The interior is kind of a bit of this and that and mismatched. Overall the food and experience was ok but Ive definitely had better.

The restaurant ambience is really nice. The designers and the staff works really hard to ensure that they keep the place nice and tidy to reflect the theme. Occasional live music… Food is always served fresh and hot. Some of our guests had dietary restrictions and the staff was able to accommodate all the requests. Highly recommended

Visited Exotica at their start of dinner service on a Wednesday. No wait and laid back. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. I've never had Shamsavera, but if there is someone out there some how making it better than this you'd fall out of your chair. The flavor was excellent. I just wish there were more dumplings. The bread was great as were the apps. A bit pricey for the amount of food, but being in the center of the city you kind of know what you're getting yourself into.
