Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Absolutely fantastic Mediterranean food in Carmel. I had the chicken shawarma bowl and it was spectacular. The rice and chicken are seasoned well, the fries and Greek salad help to tie the whole dish together. The staff are very friendly as well. Definitely recommend this place for an affordable and delicious meal.

Tonight was our first time visiting Fayrouz and it definitely won't be our last. Everything we tried was AMAZING! We started with the veggie platter and kibbeh as an appetizer. The veggie platter had falafel, stuffed grape leaves, babaganoush, and THE BEST hummus. The kibbeh was also outstanding! For the main course, I had the Fayrouz grill platter, which comes with lamb, chicken, and kefta skewers, rice, fries, and some grilled veggies. The dish is served with toum (a garlic sauce, similar the garlic aioli...very garlicky in a good way), some crazy good chili sauce, and a delicious tahini sauce. Everything was top notch and made from scratch. The staff was also very friendly and helpful! We will be coming back again and again!
