Starting with the playful quirky names, the tastes combined in the food and drinks, the vibe, the presentation and service are peppered with artful details. So…. they actually sell this a synergistic art that just uses the medium of serving food and drink to entertain the senses. This is why one would go there.

I went to Fig and Ash the other day for dinner, and the experience was good. Service was excellent. Cocktails were great. We got the hummus appetizer and that was excellent. My date got the duck and loved it. I got the soy glazed eggplant and did not like it. It was extremely salty and the only flavor was soy sauce. Luckily they offered to remake it and it was a bit better, but I still would not recommend that dish. The menu didn’t have a vegan dessert, but they made us one which was really tasty. I appreciated that a lot. Overall, I would go back for drinks and appetizers, but I would not go for a full dinner until they have a different vegan dish on the menu.
