Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Clean modern dining area in the store. They offer healthy protein bowls. We tried the teriyaki chicken and it was delicious. The pastry section is also full, we like the Hawaiian cookie, it's different from all the other pastry stores. Super friendly staff and fast service. Great lunch spot for sure Kid friendly seating and has a nice little kids bookshelf with books for them to read while they dine. They also have changing table in their bathroom and booster and high chair options for babies and toddlers.

This place is very tasty. Very clean and vibrant inside. I will gladly return to this place to eat again. The only reason I gave it a four star service was that one of their heating bins was dead and I could not get what I ordered off the menu because of it. Other than that, it was very refreshing to find a place like this in Anchorage.

I'm a little hesitant to give such a low score, because the food tastes fine and they have healthy options, but I'm pretty disturbed by my experience today. I came in for a pick up order and while waiting, I saw a person prepping a sandwich without any gloves. I asked if that was normal practice and they assured me they wash their hands and they feel like it lowers the chance of cross contamination than gloves, but they hadn't washed their hands until I mentioned something and I watched them handling different sections and touching different appliances. I'm no health inspector and there doesn't seem to be any laws requiring gloves, but it was very unsettling to me. Also the hand washing I saw looked to be more like a rinse. I decided to brush it off since probably a lot of kitchens don't use gloves and we just can't see them. But then I took a bite of my soup and immediately felt something hard in my mouth. Pulled out of piece of plastic and lost my appetite. Again, I've eaten here before and thought the food was fine, but now I've loss some trust and won't be eating my $25 order for a small salad and bowl of soup.
