Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Great place for some good ramen! There are a couple of options on the menu that can be made vegetarian. My go to is always the Spicy Miso Ramen; it hits the spot, especially on a cold day! The Dorayaki is really good. We tried Taiyaki once with the bean paste filling, but it felt a bit too oily for our liking. Everything else has been great. The staff are friendly, and I always look forward to the guava candy they give after the bill!

I’ve been dining at Genki for the past 3 years, and they truly deserve a good review. This is hands-down the best ramen spot in Lafayette/West Lafayette. My go-to are the spicy tonkotsu (literally the best of the best) and the shoyu ramen. I always add extra protein (it’s so worth the extra $3) The ramen noodles are actually imported from Hawaii, and their proteins are made fresh daily, which you can really taste. The servers and owners are super sweet and always give great recommendations. Honestly, I would drive from Fort Wayne just to eat a bowl of ramen from Genki

Delicious food! Nice and polite staff. Much better than other ramen I’ve had in the area (I don’t eat pork based, they had so many options!) I got the udon and the broth was a bit sweet for my taste but everything was overall very good. Highly recommend!
