Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The name being “Glory of India”? I don’t think so. More like disappointment. I hate to leave bad reviews but people need to know how awful it was. If I cooked like that I would NOT open a restaurant OMG. Where do I even begin?…. So the goat curry and lamb vindaloo were soupy and watery, did not cling to the rice at all, they just drained to the bottom of the plate. The “onion salad” was a joke, basically just a red onion cut up with a couple jalapeño peppers in it and no dressing, just 2 lemon wedges. The naan was seriously lacking flavor. The portions were tiny. Almost no lamb in the lamb vindaloo. The portions of rice pudding are basically in a container u would use for dressing or a condiment - tiny. They were watery and WAY too sweet! Just awful. The coconut soup was basically just coconut. I didn’t try it but needless to say most of it was left. I leave one start reviews for places I will never go to again and would never recommend and this restaurant definitely didn’t even earn the one star. I will mention one thing, my friend enjoyed the meal which I was shocked to hear, so to defend those who actually gave more than one star, I guess some people’s palates are much more forgiving. I have had Indian food plenty of times and NEVER EVER was the lamb vindaloo and goat curry watery and greasy like that. If I could sum up the entire experience in one word it would be DISAPPOINTING. And to add insult to injury, it was kind of expensive for those portion sizes!

If you had spent weeks telling your friend/family member how good Indian food is and that they need to give it a chance, then you gave them this food, they would call you stupid and never try Indian food again. This is without a doubt the most disappointing Chicken Tikka Masala I've ever had in my life. I was craving Indian food and decided to try it because Punjabi Kitchen in West Springfield closed on Doordash like 30-45 minutes early for some reason. While that is the BEST Chicken Tikka Masala I've ever had, Glory of India's is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I purchased the Tikka Masala, Samosas, and the Aloo Tikki. The Samosas and Aloo Tikki were acceptable, but definitely not great. The mint chutney was disappointing, and the tikka masala sealed the deal and ensured I'll never eat at this restaurant again. If every other Indian restaurant on the planet were wiped off the face of the Earth and this was the only one left, I'd do without. Hopefully their other stuff is better, but definitely don't order the tikka masala. It's watery, the chicken was chewy and shitty, and the sauce was not flavorful OR spicy when I ordered the hottest option. This place is to Indian food what Little Caesars is to pizza.
