Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Called at 8:00 PM and ordered ahead. I was asked what time I’d be there since they close at 9 PM. I said 10 minutes and was told the food would be ready. I arrived at 8:11 PM and didn’t leave until 8:32 PM. the food was not ready. The food was disappointing. Jerk chicken was dry. Rice and peas were dry. The pepper steak was mostly big chunks of green peppers and onions with very little steak. Paid $44 for two entrées, which was not worth it. Between the wait and the food quality, this was a letdown.

The wait was unbearable, and still missed items in my order, had to come back and wait more (total of an hour and a half). The food is good, but for coming across town and having to wait that long, i don't think this experience made it worth it for me. If you don't mind waiting an extremely long time for your food (even when called in, bc some ppl there called in advanced and still was waiting), or don't mind a long time to get the grocery side weighed for items (people waited like 10 to 15 minutes on that too), then by all means go there. I wouldn't mind giving another shot, but maybe when they hire more people or I send someone else to pick it up for me.

I went there yesterday after work and I have to say absolutely everything was delicious me and my family throughly enjoyed everything; I wish I didn’t live so far from the restaurant because I would be a regular diner there but even still I make effort to go occasionally and each time I’m impressed. If you want good home cooked African and Caribbean food please check this place out. I ordered Curry Goat, Oxtail, Jollof rice, Egusi, Fufu, Plantains, Red beans & Rice, Fried Tilapia (photo below)
