Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

AMAZING food. Fried chicken sandwich was delicious! Service was outstanding. Mom and I were visiting and couldn't decide what to get - server at the counter suggested we get the smash burger and fried chicken sandwich, said they'd cut them in half and we could have both :) Fries had a unique great seasoning. We loved the local root beer and raspberry creme drinks. Overall amazing experience. Establishment was clean, welcoming and warm. 10/10 recommend!

I was suspicious of the high reviews here. Are they paying for reviews, I asked myself? Or is it just a lot of inexperienced rural reviewers who have never experienced good restaurants? I've eaten at thousands of restaurants across 40 something countries. I'm a bit jaded. Turns out Graysons just really is that good. Fantastic flavors, textures, and balance in the breakfast burrito and fries we got. And the recipes aren't derivative, it would appear that the chef actually knows how to create this stuff. The decor is fine, if a bit sparse and bland. Don't let the bland strip mall exterior fool you, there is delicious food here. Enjoy it for this price, before they upgrade to a nice space, refine the presentation, and end up with a Michelin star.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Grayson. We came in as a group and each person ordered and paid separately for takeout. Despite that, Grayson automatically charged an 18% gratuity on TAKEOUT orders. No service, no explanation, no justification. I have never, ever been forced to pay a tip for food to go, and certainly not 18%. Then we waited almost 50 minutes for takeout food. Fifty minutes. That alone is ridiculous. Because the wait was so long, we ended up sitting down. Even then, there was still zero service. No one brought water. No one cleaned the table. No one served the food. We were completely ignored while being charged as if we had full table service. Their excuse? That we came in as a “big group.” That makes no sense. We ordered individually. It was clearly marked as takeout on the receipt. A group of people placing to-go orders does not magically become a catered event. Being forced to pay a service charge when no service was provided, combined with an almost hour-long wait, is beyond frustrating — it feels dishonest. Do not recommend. First time in my life being charged a mandatory 18% for takeout, and it will absolutely be my last visit.
